AC Fan Modification
- These are some shots of the fan I added to my caprice.
The fan has a 14-15 inch diameter but is rather low
profile. the entire case and fan is black plastic. I did
have to bend the lower support a little to get it to fit
but otherwise it is a really good fit and very reliable (3
years now). I wired it up through a relay to take power
directly from the battery and I found a wire that
controlls the AC compressor on the passenger side of the
engine bay. So when ever the compressor is on the fan is
on. It is great for stop and go driving as the cool air
never stops and when you are on the freeway it is down
right chilly. sometimes i can get it so cold you can see
your breath, I like it ususally my passengers do not ;-)
