The picture below shows a modified Impala
grille. The center horizontal bars have been removed on
either side of the bow tie for a really clean look. This
means that some fill work has to be done with bondo or other
substance to fill in the notches left behind after the bar gets
cut out. Also a piece of metal mesh needs to by installed
to keep large bugs out of your radiator. The bow tie in
front is the stock bow tie covered with reflective tape (trim-brite,
red). With the bars removed it gives the bow tie a floating
effect.

bow tie)
Hood ornament has been removed and filled.
This is a better picture of the Caprice SS emblem. When GM
ship Impalas to the middle east they badge them Caprice SS as the
Impala has no significance in the Middle East. This emblem
usually goes on the rear quarter panel like the Impala but I
think it looks really good on the door as well. The SS
letters were cut off of both emblems and one pair was used on the
trunk, see picture below. Alex also had to have them painted red
as they only come in the three Impala colors.
The trunk keyhole has been shaved and in it's place is an SS
emblem
Taillights are stock Impala but Alex was able to buy just the
lens instead of the whole assembly which saved him almost 100
bucks per side. Doing this does require taking the old
lenses off with a screwdriver and gluing the new lenses on with
some silicone or other glue but from what I understand it is
pretty easy.
Also shown is an Impala Trunk Spoiler
12524697 / Impala SS Rear Spoiler,
around $270.00
12337977 / Impala SS Rear Spoiler Bolts,
Around $0.50 each (do not know how many you need)
Good Job Alex, It looks Great!!!
